Local County Durham business, SCH Site Services, have successfully trialled and launched their new innovative product with support from Supply Chain North East and subsequently scooped the Technical and Innovation Award from Wates Group.

Reason for Support

To appraise and develop SCH’s innovative product, BAP, which addresses industrywide challenges in erecting steel. The support from Supply Chain NE was needed to facilitate successful trials, recognition, and future plans for manufacturing and expansion.

Engagement Process

Gary Finley, MD at SCH Site services worked with Supply Chain NE Business Advisors and received 12 hours fully funded support. The team supported with the NPI appraisal by conducting several value propositions workshops to help launch their product into the construction sector.

What’s next?

The new product has been successfully trialled by Wates Construction at Gibside Primary School and Brambles Academy. The company are looking to develop a business model and begin to manufacture the BAP’s inhouse ensuring quality and efficiency and explore further applications the BAP device could have.
