This session explores obligations on goods/services suppliers which are often required in contracts with the public sector.

The public sector spends billions each year buying goods and services from the private sector. Winning a contract to provide products and services to public sector buyers is a great way to increase your revenues, enhance your reputation and grow your organisation.

There’s a common misconception that public tenders always go to well-established companies, especially those bigger and more complex contracts, but this isn’t the case. There’s now an increasing focus within public procurement to open up contracts to SMEs and innovative new suppliers.  Contracts won’t always go to the market leaders who have been operating in the market for many years and there are many examples of exciting newcomers blasting on to the scene and using their competitive advantages to win contracts. There is increased levels of market disruption allowing SMEs to grab tenders from larger enterprises.

Key details, highlights, and what attendees can expect:

This session explores obligations on goods/services suppliers which are often required in contracts with the public sector, relating to matters such as carbon reduction planning, social value commitments and cyber security. The attendees should leave the session with an awareness of the additional contractual obligations with which their business may be required to comply in any future supply to the public sector so that they can take proactive steps to mitigate this and enhance their tender success rate.
