This July, the North East STEM Hub are welcoming more than 3000 North East school pupils to VERTU Motors Arena in Newcastle, to be a part of STEMFest 2023. This exciting event will give schoolchildren the opportunity to explore future careers within STEM sectors through a fun filled hands-on three-day event.  

The North East STEM Hub are delighted to announce all three days of the event sold out in less than 24 hours of the tickets being released despite another day being added. The event which takes place on the 4th, 5th and 6th July 2023 is an interactive event where businesses come together to inspire and raise the aspirations of young people in their area. This year STEM Fest is delivering themed zones; Space, Technology (Cyber Security), Environment and Manufacturing/Engineering. These zones are representative of some of the high growth areas and therefore career opportunities within our region.

STEMFEST 2023 will welcome over 40 North East businesses in 4 themed zones, this interactive exhibition connects 10-13 year olds with the regions STEM companies committed to providing job opportunities now and in the future to support the next generation into STEM sectors. Claire adds: 

“This year we are introducing different industry themed zones, we are keen to educate and inspire the next generation on the importance of STEM subjects as well as demonstrating the different career opportunities available to them.”
