A successful North East based recruitment organisation has thanked Scaleup North East for helping them increase turnover by 539% as well as creating nine new positions within the company and has ambitious plans for the years ahead.

Sam Spoors set up Talentheads amongst the midst of the pandemic in 2020, growing from just herself in her kitchen to having an office based in Morpeth Northumberland. Whilst remaining humble to their North East based clients Talentheads also works with companies nationally and internationally.

Sam came to Scaleup North East after being recommended Angelina Bell, Scaleup Partner by a client.

After meeting with Sam, Angelina embarked on the journey of mapping out various business models and approaches to scaling the business. She brought in Scaleup Partners, Jon, Craig and Tony to one of the meetings to enable the four partners to share their experiences and advise on whether to grow region by region, through acquisition or to franchise. This provided a wider professional network and Angelina became the sounding board, advising on what direction Talentheads needed to move. Through a series of discussions, Angelina helped Sam to understand what she wants the business to look like in the future and identified things to be aware of. Angelina helped to open doors with new clients and establishing a five-year growth plan for maturing the Talentheads brand. Sam comments:

When asking Sam what advice she would give to other businesses considering scaling she adds:
