Super Connect For Good Competition: An Overview

The Super Connect for Good Competition seeks to discover and super connect the best emerging tech startups and scale-ups creating positive social impact to enhance people’s lives through technology.

In 2020, we launched the competition in the UK and Ireland in partnership with Hays plc with over 50+ judges in 8 regions and 6 Innovation Streams. We were truly overwhelmed with the support we received for the competition from applicants, partners, judges, the press and the wider ecosystem with local to national press coverage, hundreds of applications and 40+ winners & runners-up.

The 2021 Competition

Super Connect for Good is back welcoming applications from Tech for Good startups & scale-ups from across the UK, Ireland and Europe:

Innovation Streams: Applications are welcome in AI for Good, EdTech, HealthTech, MedTech, FinTech for Good & CleanTech

Pre-Seed Challenge: For the first time, we’ve introduced this new application stream in partnership with Microsoft for Startups

Industry Challenge: We’ve introduced a new challenge set by Siemens Mobility to improve public safety through new innovations that support transport infrastructure.

Top 100 Super Connect For Good Showcase

Our applicants will submit their applications by 16th July 2021 which will be reviewed by our Innovation Partners and Judges

These partners include the OVHcloud Startup Program (AI for Good Partner), Royal Agricultural University (EdTech Partner), Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HealthTech Partner), National Institute for Health Research Surgical MedTech Co-operative (MedTech Partner), Microsoft for Startups (Pre-Seed Challenge), Siemens Mobility (Industry Challenge) and more

They will review all applications in August 2021 to decide which 10 to shortlist in each of our 10 Innovation Streams to invite to pitch live to them at the Top 100 Innovation Showcase from across the UK, Ireland & Europe

Each of the Top 100 Startups & Scale-ups will also feature in our European Tech for Good Report 2022

The Top 10 Innovation Winners will receive a prize from their partner which includes guaranteed pilots, funding, press coverage and more as listed at www.superconnectforgood.com

All companies will also be invited to exhibit enabling our attendees to this event to connect with them over video / text chat, review their decks or videos and have email introductions to them through our Super Connect Me button on their booths

Every registrant who attends on the day will receive at least 3 free super connections to potential partners, clients or funders by email up to 8 weeks after the event to potential partners, clients or funders in the private & public sector.

Accessing the Virtual Event Platform: Once you have registered your details you will have access to our 'Online Event Page' on Eventbrite (if logged in) providing you with a link to our Virtual Event Platform (once published in July 2021), where you'll be able to see the full agenda for the upcoming weekly session and add it to your calendar. Empact Ventures will also email you a few times prior to the start of the event with reminders prior to the day and access information

If you opt-in to be super connected to up to 3 potential partners, clients, funders or collaborators you'll need to opt-in on your registration and attend at least one session. All introductions will be made via email up to 6 weeks after the end of the event
