Growth Mastery – an intensive group experience that has been created to help ambitious owner-managers

About this event

With the worst of the pandemic now behind us and with strong signs of an economic rebirth coming, businesses are now starting to think seriously again about growth.

In response to that, we’ve created Growth Mastery – an intensive group experience that has been created to help ambitious owner-managers to understand how they can build scalable, growth-focused businesses and successfully break through some of the growth barriers they are likely to encounter along the way.

Who is it For?

This programme has been designed for business owners that are thinking seriously about growth and are operating between £100k and £1m in revenue.

You’ll join an intimate group of up to 15 x business owners who will meet twice-weekly for 2 x weeks via Zoom for no-nonsense, straight-talking on how to accelerate the growth of your business.

We’ll provide you with growth tools, frameworks and resources - and an intimate support structure of 15 x business owners as your own mastermind to share experiences and collectively solve challenges.

You’ll also have access to a private forum to engage with the other attendees outside the sessions.

Programme Overview

Over 4 x extended sessions, we’ll cover:

Session 1: Growing a Business: The Foundational Principles We’ll start the process by examining your personal drivers and goals, why you’re in business and the kind of company you want to build.

We’ll cover the differences between a lifestyle business and a scalable business and our own “4-stages of the Owner Journey” model which covers the transition from having a business that “is” you to one that’s completely self-managing. We’ll discuss the practicalities of growing a business, including stress-points and glass ceilings and cover examples of good and bad growth.

Session 2: How to Drive Top and Bottom Line Growth

Too many owners are simply trying to spin the hamster wheel faster and faster. We’ll help you to get clear on how and where you should be spending your time and the high-value activities to focus on that will impact revenue and profit growth the most.

We’ll cover specific activities to increase revenue (and make it more recurring), profit, margins, cash and average contract/project values. We’ll discuss how to avoid fluctuations in revenue or lead-flow (more commonly-referred to as “feast to famine”) and how to make the key activities that will drive growth “non-negotiable” within your business.

Session 3: Building a Business That Can Work Without You

Far too many businesses are too reliant on the owner. As a result, the business is neither scalable nor saleable. In this session, we’ll help you to move from having a business that’s an extension of you to one that’s independent of you and to create an asset that provides you with freedom and lifestyle autonomy.

We’ll cover the key indicators of high owner-reliance and how to remove yourself as the biggest bottleneck. We’ll look at how you can create a more autonomous business using systems and processes and the principles of building a Management Team. We’ll help you to leverage your knowledge and lock it into the business so you can create a more scalable operating model.

Session 4: Agile Planning and Bringing it All Together

The days of highly detailed long-range planning are largely over. With the world still in a state of flux following the pandemic, businesses need to be more agile and work to shorter-term planning cycles.

We’ll work on a plan for your business that implements what we discuss on the programme in a highly actionable way. We’ll help you to create an accountability structure so you depart the programme with clarity on what your key “rocks” are that are going to significantly move the business forward.

Possibly the best programme I’ve been a part of”, another said it was “mentoring on steroids”, whilst another said “this has been amazing for me and has energised me and given me lots of hope in a time when I felt I have been walking through treacle and not known how to get out of it”.
