My Healthcare Recruit Ltd

Founded in 2017, My Healthcare Recruit offers fast, easy, video-based international recruitment. It allows for video CVs and interviewing to give clients a hiring advantage when recruiting international permanent nurses.

After spotting a gap in the market, Sarah Grant founded My Healthcare Recruit and it now helps to place professional nurses and medical staff into the NHS, private healthcare providers and specialist nursing homes.

En route to launching her business, Sarah benefited from grant funding support from RTC, the professional guidance and support of our NHS Innovations North team (now Pathways 2 Innovation). She also received business development training through our programmes.

The Challenge

Sarah said: “I worked with the NHS Innovation North team at RTC to understand how I could best link in to the NHS, that was the time when I heard about the bootcamp. The advice and help I have received from the team has been invaluable.
“Staff at RTC have been able to loop me into a strong health business network, supported and given me a starting point for a lot of my activities.”

The Solution

“The business development bootcamp provided a fantastic opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs in the same boat, and access great training on marketing, finance, research skills and business planning.

“I came away from the training feeling a lot more confident about what strategic direction to take my business in. It gave me a lot of knowledge, but I was also pointed in the direction of resources and people who could help me further. In addition, after the Bootcamp I was able to benefit from funding which was a big head start.

The Impact

“Since attending the Bootcamp, I have established my brand, launched my website, and have started trading.

“At present My Healthcare focuses purely on international nurses but the intention is to diversify into medical personnel also and use other international markets to access talent.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to the team for all the support I have received, both from a funding perspective as well as guidance given. I feel incredibly lucky to have had access to it. I honestly feel I may have not been able to pursue my business goals with the same vigour without the foundations of RTC in place.”
