Stempoint Greater Merseyside - Home page

Welcome to the STEMPOINT Greater Merseyside website. Here you will find all the information you need to get involved in the STEMNET scheme and take advantage of the extensive range of resources that are open to you. Our quarterly newsletter is also available to view online, along with regularly updated news items.

STEMNET creates opportunities to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This enables young people to develop their creativity, problem-solving and employability skills, widens their choices and supports the UK’s future competitiveness. STEMNET helps encourage young people to be well informed about STEM, able to engage fully in debate, and make decisions about STEM related issues. STEMNET receives funding from the Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills (BIS) and the Department for Children, Schools, and Families (DCSF).

To find out more about the STEMNET scheme, please visit the main STEMNET website at: www.stemnet.org.uk

For Teachers there is a list of resources available for you to view and download from the Resources section. We will update this list regularly with new information and links to anything we feel will be of use to you and the pupils. For further information as to how we can help you engage in STEM activities, please visit the Teachers section.

For STEM Ambassadors updated information regarding forthcoming events in local schools can be found in our News section, along with regular updates in our quarterly newsletter. There is also lots of information regarding how to work with children, and links to activities and techniques that will help you engage with students.

Essentially, this site is a one stop shop for all the information you need to be involved in STEM activities in the Greater Merseyside area.

If you would like to speak with the team about anything STEM related, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to working with you soon!
