RTC Bids for Charity

Local businesses offer their services to RTC North staff in the hope of raising money for their local charity, Grace House.

Inspire Holistic, The Distillery, Hollathans, Fit Happens, Janet Maitland Hairdressers and Tesco’s are just a few of the names donating prizes for colleagues to outbid each other and claim the prizes. Lyndsey Pitt, HR Manager commented:

“After donating our time helping the upkeep of the garden area Grace House were able to purchase curtains. Our aim with this next round is to hopefully contribute to the purchase of a sunken trampoline that will enable children to enjoy.”

In ground trampolines have many benefits for children especially those with restricted movement who would find climbing in and out of a traditional trampoline enclosure difficult.

“Grace House children’s charity welcomes children and young people from across the North East, with complex disabilities, health needs and life limiting conditions. They provide a fun, safe, exciting environment where children can come and live life to the full.

“A big thank you to all businesses who have contributed some truly fabulous gifts that my colleagues can outbid each other for. In addtion I am also grateful to our colleagues who have also donated prizes, which include guitar lessons, diving, bike MOT, yoga and even a desk / cupboard tidy at work.”
