Plastics have had a hugely positive impact since their invention, but perhaps things have gone a little too far. There is now a global push to reduce single-use plastics in particular, with food and drink packaging among the first to be targeted. Produce still needs to be packaged, however, and we'll be hearing from companies that are leading the way in sustainable packaging, whether that's by developing green plastics, or finding new ways to package food.

Speakers include:

Neil Lawson, Polydist UK

Brasken Green polyethylene is produced entirely from sugarcane and can replace oil-derived polymers in products such as food and cosmetic bottles, packaging films, even fabrics. Neil will give us an insight into the development of this material, and how the company is helping to turn the whole supply chain green.
